Position Title: Maintenance Crew Leader
Type: Full time
Position summary: The landscaping Crew leader is an experienced landscaper working with minimal supervision. The position works as a member of the team and directs the activities of one or more team members at a job site. The landscape crew leader is able to operate a variety of equipment and has a working knowledge of horticultural practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Completes landscape maintenance duties, such a mowing, fertilizer application, weed control, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming and pruning
- Completes landscape enhancement projects such as mulch application, plantings, topsoil application, lawn seeding.
- Reports Irrigation issues by filling the appropriate paperwork and contacting Field Supervisor.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site, equipment, and Vehicle.
- Completes the job in the most time-efficient manner meeting the company productivity targets.
- Manages a team of one or more employees, including handling personnel issues, onsite training and policies and procedures
- Operates and manages a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to Trimmers, commercial mowers, blowers, dump trailers, chain saws, trimmers, and tillers.
- Train crew members on the property techniques for performing regular tasks.
- Briefs supervisors and makes recommendations on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns
- Completes the necessary paperwork including work orders, Vehicle Inspection sheets, Receipts and Po’s.
- Teaches and oversees the correct clock in and out times for each employee using the appropriate application on their phone.
- Maintains assigned equipment and notifies management of needed repairs
- Reports accidents to the office as soon as possible
Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 3+ working knowledge of standard horticultural practices
- The successful individual will have a working knowledge of standard horticultural practices, including but not limited to planting, pruning, corrective pruning, and fertilization.
- Must report to work in a timely fashion
- Candidate must be able to read with good comprehension and write
- Job planning skills, problem solving skills are a must.
- Able to inspire workers to work to their best ability.

Proficiencies/Certifications:
- Valid driver license (not necessary)
Salary: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
